Credit card rejection spiral, how can i fix my rating?

I have stupidly applied for numerous credit cards offering 0% and been rejected, instead of stopping i tried various different card providers, after reading around i have found that this would have marked my my credit file with all these rejections, how long will this take to clear? I no longer require a card but will want to mortage in a couple of years, im now realy worried im going to have a really bad credit file and could affect my future needs for lending i.e mortgage? Credit files don’t make “rejects” they simply report inquiries. Stop this absurd activity, pay cash, live within your harvest.
